A comprehensive, individualized treatment approach begins with a deep dive personalized neuropsychological and/or psychoeducational assessment battery. Whether you are coming in for exploration of learning issues, having challenges with attention and concentration, or wondering if you are neurodivergent - this is the place to start. Dr. Kelsey is very specific in the measures she uses and chooses only the ones that really provide information to the real world environment. She is one of only a handful of clinics in the entire state of Florida to have a license to provide Nesplora's virtual reality assessments as part of her comprehensive testing model.

We have gold standard assessments others do not - Autism assessments always include an ADOS and dyslexia and learning disability are able to be assessed with the Test of Dyslexia (TOD) which is the newest "big thing" in the testing world. ADHD assessments ALWAYS include continuous performance tasks using either VR Nesplora or Moxo. We prioritize QUALITY and we use every measure needed to get our referral question answered.

Dr. Kelsey is a pediatric expert and certified school psychologist, as well as a generalist psychologist trained across the lifespan with specialty focus in neuropsychology. She has completed over 300 psychoeducational evaluations for Florida schools since 2022 and hundreds of private assessments for people across the lifespan. If the KML Brain Clinic cannot treat your case with excellence, we will tell you immediately and refer to you the proper place!

what's the cost of An assessment?
AT KML we think you should know pricing upfront without having to call first. Testing can often be covered be your insurance if your plan covers it - be aware your might still have deductibles/copays even if your plan covers testing. We can provide a prior authorization review to determine if your plan is applicable.

what is the cost of cognitive remediation with cogmed?
Cogmed is an all-inclusive program despite the amount of time it takes to complete. The cost of the program is $3500 and KML supplements this with any additional targeted exercises to hit your challenge areas head on! If you pay out of pocket for both a comprehensive assessment and Cogmed together we will discount this to $5500.
What is the cost of EF coaching with curriculum?
At KML we do not do simple EF coaching that you see on the internet and Youtube. Yes, we can do that too and we will help you with your daily organization, memory tricks, scheduling issues, etc AND we will also actively work using skills-based training with evidence-based therapeutic activities to engage and stretch your brain. Some of the work we do may be covered by insurance plans when it is part of a treatment process. When the process is "coaching" rather than therapy focused then this is not a medical necessity - out of pocket expenses are $300/hr session OR $250/45min session. We will work on cognitive flexibility, emotional regulation, inhibition, working memory and other EF skillsets. Because we are licensed clinicians instead of 'coaches' we actually have the deeper skills to tackle what's under your child's or your own individual challenges. All ages treated. Consistency with weekly sessions is key to create movement in the skill-building process.
