What's the cost?
Dr. Latimer believes in being up front in all costs right from the start because your time is valuable. Dr. Latimer uses an all-inclusive approach with a cost of the entire program for $3500. You can split this in two payments if that is preferred. The all-inclusive cost includes the entire program, regardless of program length, all coaching touch points with Dr. Latimer, additional prescribed training games for additional areas of brain growth and any collaborative care work needed for your best program outcome.
If you choose to private pay for a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment along with purchasing the Cogmed program, we will offer you a package rate upon request. Why should we go with you?
Dr. Latimer is highly skilled as a licensed psychologist across the lifespan, certified school psychologist, registered nurse, researcher, and full professor of clinical psychopharmacology. She is an expert in psychological and neuropsychological testing with over a decade of experience and knows how to interpret data in a very individualized manner. At KML Psychological Services, we research every product we offer and only use the most highly evidence-based options available. In addition, we will only offer the program to you if we think it will help you so we will first complete a screening and discussion with you.
Can I stay with my treatment team or therapist?
Yes! and you should! Our team will work to enhance all the other work you are doing in therapy, tutoring, executive functioning coaching, etc. We will work with your team to ensure your best success.
What diagnoses can this help me with?
Cognitive remediation treatments are known to be very helpful for ADHD, executive functioning issues, learning disabilities, substance abuse recovery, eating disorder recovery, depression, schizophrenia, cognitive decline and others. If we want to start with a comprehensive neuropsych assessment, do you offer that?
Yes, KML Psychological Services offers extensive, individualized, therapeutic assessments with gold standard instruments. Many of our Cogmed clients begin their journey with a full psychological assessment using validated normed instruments to see where they are starting from beginning purchasing Cogmed for treatment.
Does insurance cover cogmed?
Unfortunately, no. KML believes in access to care so we do provide the option for insurance coverage for psychological assessment. However, cognitive training is a private pay only service at this time.
