· Clients often tell me they forget I’m a psychologist with a stack of degrees. Because they feel like they’re just talking to someone who truly sees them.
· That’s the point.
· If you wouldn’t want to have a cup of coffee with your therapist, why would you want to share your life with them?
· I bring a lot of clinical expertise to the work, but more importantly, I bring presence, humility, and a deep belief in your ability to heal.
· I’ll help you slow down, tune in, and uncover the truth you didn’t know you were already carrying.
· I’m someone who listens closely, not just to your words, but to what’s underneath them.
· I’ll challenge you when it’s time, sit with you when it’s hard, and make sure you leave every session feeling a little clearer.
· Clients say they feel safe, understood, and never like “just another time slot.”
· If we work together, you’ll know I’m in it with you—and that I genuinely care.
Dr. Kelsey is both a licensed psychologist and board-certified nurse practitioner. She completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Texas in 2009 with specialties in neuropsychology, pediatrics and eating disorders. She has extensive experience working at all levels of care across the lifespan and developing treatment programs. After a decade of experience as a psychologist, Dr. Kelsey was inspired to go back to school during the COVID-19 pandemic seeing the need for integrated medical and psychiatric care. She completed her accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in 2022 and followed by her Master of Science in Nursing from St. Thomas University in 2024. She also completed a post graduate certificate program at Harvard Medical School in clinical research training.
Dr. Kelsey's clinical focus is on treating the whole person rather than just focusing on a diagnosis. She created KML Psychological Services to provide access to care with a conceirge experience for all clients. Her science-practitioner training made her want to develop a center and method of training that leads with evidence-based science along with the art of the individual. She is skilled in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, person-centered, and interpersonal process work, but she thinks it is most important to simply have a partnership to talk about anything without fear of judgement. She has been featured in media outlets including TIME, Teen Vogue, Forbes, Today.com, Women’s Health, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Washington Post, Huffington Post, and more. She also serves as a medical reviewer for Everyday Health and bpHope, and is co-author of the children’s book The Poofas focused on emotional expression.
Dr. Kelsey is passionate about helping individuals to find their voice and to become the best version of themselves!
